The Before:

Jereshia Hawk is an income strategist and business coach who came to our team in February of 2020 after spending too long trying to do everything on her own. Jereshia knew that she needed support from a team of experts to truly dominate with her Facebook ads and grow her business.

The Details:

Jereshia has a $27 self-liquidating offer called Right Response that teaches business coaches how to increase their rates and close on their sales. She also has a signature $1,997 course, Services That Sell, that coaches people on how to raise their rates, articulate their value and launch high ticket coaching programs. She needed a strategy that would help her effectively sell both of these offers.

The Strategy:

Initially we marketed Jereshia’s SLO funnel, Right Response, with a quiz on the front end and then based on their answers they were taken to the sales page to purchase Right Response. Then we would retarget those people to her $1,997 program, Services That Sell. However, we noticed an industry wide trend where quizzes became popcorn content - people would take the quiz just to take the quiz and then drop off without reaching the sales page.

We decided to pivot her strategy to be direct to her webinar and then sell her program on the webinar. In place of her quiz, we ran visibility ads using some incredibly engaging organic posts she had created, and then we retargeted her video views.

Over the summer, we decided to bring her SLO funnel back, but this time we got right to the point and went directly to the sales page. We targeted cold traffic since this was a low cost, high reward offer, and this began bringing in a ton of high-quality leads for her. They came in cold, purchased Right Response (and some purchased her $47 upsell), then they were retargeted to her webinar and pushed further down her funnel, and then within a couple of months were buying her high ticket offer, Services That Sell.

It became the ideal SLO funnel that took her customers on a highly engaging journey from being cold, to a high ticket sale. We were able to take a funnel that people originally were dropping off from instantly, to one that was highly converting and massively profitable!

The Takeaways:

Don’t be afraid of trying something new

One of the reasons Jereshia has been so successful during our first year of working together is that she is always willing to try something new, put herself out there, and trust our team’s suggestions. As the face of your company, you have to be able to dedicate yourself to creating valuable content and consistently try new things to find what works for you.

Your ability to pivot can make or break you

When we realized that Jereshia’s initial SLO funnel strategy wasn’t working, we suggested pivoting to a direct to webinar strategy and Jereshia was all for it. When things don’t work, it’s easy to just say “this didn’t work, so I’m done.” The entrepreneurs who are able to find long term success have not done so without their fair share of “failures”, but it’s because of their ability to pivot that they’re still able to come out on top.

Prioritize highly valuable, engaging content.

Something that Jereshia owns so well is creating highly valuable and engaging content both organically and for her Facebook ads. Two of her top performing ads from this year were Instagram Reels that were fun, personable, short and to the point. They were highly effective in getting people to sign up for her webinar and purchase her SLO. If you don’t put out content that connects with your audience, you will not be able to convert them into sales!
